My Favourite Autumn Read

My favourite read this autumn has been the book Seven Brief Lessons on Physics by Carlo Rovelli. The book is about physics. I've never read books about this topic but was immediately curious when I saw it. I picked up one book at the book shop and read half of it. It is fun and easy to read with an easy language. It is a book written for readers with little or no knowledge on modern science. I think I could reread it several times. I think it is a good table book since it is easy to read and short so anyone can read it. The design is elegant and fun. I loved the book! And think I will buy three. One for the book shelf, one on the table and one to have in my purse!

Things To Do on a Rainy Day

Some days are so rainy that it feels best to be inside all day long.
When winter comes closer it is time to make sure it is warm and cozy inside.
I pack myself in wool clothes and a wool blanket and make myself a cup of tea watching a nice movie.Below is a list of activities to do on days like these.

What are your tips for activities to do on a rainy day?

  • Read a good book
  • Visit a friend
  • Bake something tasty
  • Write letters
  • Go to the cinema
  • Listen to music

I usually always end up with a good book. :)

Current Beauty Favourites

I got a lot of love for Lush Cosmetics and lately these two pieces. The Passion Fruit Lip Balm and the Lush Sugar Body Scrub. The lip balm gives a lot of moisture and feels so comfortable on the lips.  I come back to it as it is in my top five favourite lip balms. The scent is just as nice as the actual product so I wanna try more of their lip balms.

The Lush Sugar Body Scrub is one of those body scrubs with a really refreshing scent that you can't forget! It takes away the surface of dead skin cells well and moisturizes my skin. A little goes a long way with this body scrub.

In skin care I've been loving brands like Tromborg and Soap & Glory too.
The moisture level in this face cream is super good. My skin feels and look rejuvenated and plumped. I always use facial mist in my skin care routine and my current love is the Tromborg facial mist lavender water. It gives a good doze of moisture to my skin! And the skin looks so glowy too.

Makeup Mekka Sugar Lip Scrub is the first of this type of skin care I've tried. It takes away the dead skin cells and makes my lips feel smoother and look prettier. A little goes a long way.

Sunday Chill

I have yoga, writing and listening to radio theatre on my list of things to this day. And they are all calming to me. That with drinking tea and coffee! I began today with breakfast and creating a simple transitioning makeup look from autumn to winter.

What activities do you like to do on Sundays? Do you find writing cool?

It did not take long to write out this book. :) Yesterday I continued writing on computer one of the short stories from here. I begin write on paper as it feels more authentic and I can bring it easily everwhere.

September Favourite Photo

I love how everything looks almost warm pastel like in this photo! I never change anything about my photos. I try to make them as sharp and colourful there an then! The warm orange pastel colour is the best in my opinion! The fountain makes it a dreamy place to sit down and relax during the warm and not so cold days. This is outside the National Museum showing contemporary art in Oslo. The photo is taken on one of the few windy days previous month.

Colourful Autumn Treats

Cute treats

I picked up the brightest red dress in a Uff shop lately. The fabric feels so nice. At Lush I bought a green fresh scented soap scrub. It has the best texture. I decided to add a sparkly eyeshadow and nail polish to my makeup. I love finding good cream eyeshadows. And I had no in lilac and silver. This is a budget gem. I spotted it in H & M from their own makeup. I decided to try one of the Opi autumnal nail polishes. This in a choccolatte colour that feels wearable. For a basic skin care treat I chose a Meraki lip balm. I'm already addicted to it.

September Beauty Favourites

Finally I've fallen in love with skin care products again. These bits are super good and my September favourites :) I love it when skin care products give a healing feeling + rejuvenates my skin. My favourties  are from a Scandinavian brand Tromborg. I first discoverd it at an airport and picked up this facial mask. The Multi Vitamin Facial Mask. It smells very calming and uplifting. It gives my skin an immediate glow and makes it feel smoother. My second Tromborg favourite is a lavender face and body mist.  I love using this daily. The benefits of the products make my makeup look good. The lavender scent from the mist is really refreshing and tones my skin nicely. What first made me curious about the brand were the calming and beautiful design of each product. I always go to the section at the Kicks stores and admire them. :)

I have some makeup favourites too from September like the Isadora Build Up mascara 01 Super Black. The mascara is an eye catching pick. I love the intense black colour, the heavy lash look and the volume it gives. Besides it does not smudge. It does a good job at opening up my eyes.

Another product that opens up eyes is the eyeliner from Kicks. It is super brightening and looks kinda creamy. The staying power is good. And this is one of those products like the others here that makes me comfortable wearing little makeup! By the way the skin care products are nice for all skin types. :)
