Writing Day

I've been working on my second short story in a small collection. This has same topic as the one I briefly mentioned in a post recently. I wish I would have spent more time writing. I've been active blogging but fiction is not something I should forget. :) I was not quite sure how to spend this Friday. Cinema seemed tempting. Shopping even more. And a cafe visit. I'm trying to save money and writing seemed more tempting then drawing today. Since I don't want to write about the actual story I'll tell the characters names. Tone, Mari and Roberta are sentral in this short story. They are all friends. Two of them live the same place as neighbours and the third are on visit when things goes terribly wrong. One time, two times and then a third time. And more?

I hope to finish this short story by the end of this day or tomorrow. Then plan new short stories :)
If you like to write, what do you prefer writing? Blog posts, short stories, poems, essays? :)

I hope you have a nice Friday and a nice reading time!

Newest Beauty Finds

I picked up a new cream blush. This is from Youngblood. And my first product from they're brand. Look how stunning it looks :) It's a color that makes me smile. It's fun, bright and colourful. Most cream blushes I've tried have been comfortable in formula and finish so I did not hesitate trying a new cream blush. I actually still have not tried this one with makeup. When I tried this on my hand in the store it seemed like a great finish and comfy product.

I've had one Mac blush before and was not to excited about it. After seeing numerous Mac blush palettes on beauty blogs I decided to have a closer look. I've especially liked pink blushes, but todays pick was a little darker. It looks plum and red toned on the skin. It's got a lot of pigmentation so a little goes a long way. As with lipsticks the blushes stands out in colors! I like how it has some spark to it with the matte look. In picture here it looks more orange then in natural daylight.

Have you tired these products? :)

Newest Drawing

A drawing I made yesterday evening. I think this is one of my favorite of the ones I made. Lately I've been drawing in a notebook with the softest beige paper. Colours look really special in it. But often I draw on hard surface white paper like this. Usually this size which is 15* 20 cm. I often draw a flower or more in different colors.

What colors and drawings do you like?

Todays Makeup

I found this blush in my storage hidden from daylight. It is so unique and versatile. I picked it up at Makeup Store this spring. The blush is called Cherry Blossom. A subtle and highly pigmented blush. I started my makeup application with a bb cream in shade Clear. I've used this a lot and it's one of my favorite beauty products. On eyes I have two The Body Shop colors and one from Max Factor. I decided to mix purple, pink champagne and champagne. These are quite subtle colors but easy to build up. Under eyes I wear a Maybelline concealer in matching shade to my bb cream. On brows I wear the Loreal Super Liner in shade Brunette. This is so long lasting and I use it everyday. For mascara I wear a beautiful black Max Factor mascara that looks quite natural. I like the combination with intense black finish and natural look. This does not leave any black drizzle under eyes. On lips I chose a pink color matching the other choices. I'd quite forgotten about this lip color and thought I would not get much use of it. But it does look quite beautiful. Then powders. Solar powder is always among my daily makeup. Then I've added some mineral powder all over my face (before sun powder) and added a little highlighter.

Friday

I love this pink color on the book. Today I've decided to go for a simple makeup look. I've began writing a letter and opened my favorite book, not been reading so far. I spent time reading this at night. Now the main character is not in Vegas. I'm reading The Goldfinch. I've come half way and enjoy reading a lot. I have some cleaning to do and later I'll watch a movie with one of my friends :) The last time we met for movie we saw Annie Hall. Today we're watching Manhattan. I've been looking at cinema program hoping to see Crimson Peak soon. Have you seen the movie?

It is sunny and a little cloudy outside. I'll enjoy a walk by the water. Now I'm drinking tea wondering if I'll finish my short story. I have written about a teenager in possible cricis. The main characters are trying to figure out what's going on without ending up in problems too. Topics are friendship, drugs and family.

Now I've written more on the short story. The weather has become more cloudy and temperature dropped. At least I shall go to the store and buy some snack. Down by the water it is a little warmer for walking, but I might do that tomorrow.

Friday evening:

I'm back after some hours with movie and television at my friends place. Then just now I went for an evening walk. I think I shall write more on my short story then maybe plan some shopping.

Some of Todays Picks

Though I'm paler during autumn I've found that this balm powder looks gorgeous. This is one of the most gorgeous luxury product I've tried. The formula and finish is like silk. The packaging is gorgeous too. It's so easy and comfortable to apply. If you'll have a few contouring products this powder balm should definitely be one of them. Looking for a matching foundation I can recommend YSL Youth Liberator Foundation Serum. I wear this in shade Beige Rose which is the only shade I've tried so far.

It's been a while since I wore nail polish. Wearing this a lot does no good to the nails. But I wear it as much as I can. Today I've picked a shiny, pastel pink from Nails Ink in shade Whitehall. This brand along with Essie are my favorite. The colors and finishes are gorgeous and interesting. With this one I only need one application. Two looks gorgeous as well, slightly more matte and white.

My favorite Mac lipstick at the moment has to be Pure Zen. This has so many color nuances at the same time looking gorgeous in the light. It has a wonderful creamy consistency and smells like vanilla. I think most of the Mac lipsticks do :) There are so many interesting shades. I currently own three. Pure Zen, Cream Cup and Please Me. The latter has been my favorite most of the time. This is kind of matte purple.

Todays Makeup

I love soft colors. My base products here are the Estée Lauder EE Cream shade Light and Maybelline Fit Me concealer shade 15. These give most light to my skin. I've added a touch of solar powder which I forgot in the photos here. I've used the lightest shade in the Soap & Glory Solar Powder. It has a beautiful honey shade. For eyeshadow I turned to Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color in shade PK 224. This has been a huge favorite of mine since I spotted it this summer. A very versatile shade. Kicks have some gorgeous blushers. I've always thought this one a little special. Shade So Sweet. This is a high street product looking just as good as a high end product! Love this shade. Then I've finished with a super gorgeous black mascara Thick and Fast from Soap & Glory and brow color from Loreal Brow Artist in a subtle dark brown shade. Brunette.

A Current Beauty Favourite

I’ve never been into the nude lipstick love until recently. When I saw this in several photos I picked it up. And it made me like more some similar lipsticks with shine. This is matte with a beautiful kind of peach and pink color. The texture is creamy with good coverage. Though it’s matte it still has some glow. I guess especially enhanced with the right foundation. With this I like the YSL Youth Liberator Foundation Serum in shade Beige Rose. The color finishes complement each other incredible well and look beautiful in sunlight. I love the most the creamy formula and pigmented color. The packaging is quite elegant, easy to recognise. I have not tried other lipsticks from this range, but I think Melon Pop might be my next.

Monday

It's pretty sunny outside. We've had this weather for some days now. Clear blue sky that looks like the prettiest oil paint color. Looking out my window I see the prettiest autumn tree. It is incredible huge with big red, brown, gold, yellow green leaves. I love how the sunshine make it look. In the cloudy weather it's not pretty. And I have still not photographed this one. :) That's what I'll do today before the tree turns brown. Today I've thought about a blog post for the end of the year. A beauty post with all my favourites from 2015. I've taken some indoor photos. I like using the natural light. I'll do some reading which I have not done. That is one of the activities I start with! :) Here are some photos from today. I would have begun showing you a photo of the tree but I have not done that yet!

22:10

Evening:

After my outdoor photographing I went to the store to buy food. I had a walk in the sunshine. I've been drawing in the black notebook with gold dots on. I decided to go with color pencils instead of pastels. I've seen the rest of a movie I started watching yesterday. This was Exorcist II: The Heretic. Then I watched the end of The Godfather Part III. One thing I have not been doing is reading(in book). I hope we have sunny weather tomorrow. Then I'll have a walk. Read, unless I feel tired of that. Photograph. And draw in my notebook with beautifully soft paper with brown tint.

How has your Monday been?  Have you had sunny weather?

This photo (closest) was sent to me from my friend Maiken. It is from one of her recent walks. I think it looks magical! The other two photos are mine, taken this year. The one in the middle is the most recent showing some of my favorite products.
