September Favorite Photo

From September I remember the perfect light especially first half of the month. A super comfortable daylight making walks in nature lovely. I've enjoyed my few visits to cafes. This picture is from one of them. The interior creates an atmosphere I really like. I love the simple colors in the photo with the natural daylight. Pastels are such pretty color nuances. It makes a place feel more home. :)

What is your favorite photo of the month?

September Book Haul

Four books I bought yesterday at the bookstore. Looking for some novels I found Anna Karenina by Lev Tolstoj, The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt, The Winter Ghosts by Kate Mosse and Stockholm by Trine Vollan. Today I'll keep reading in two I started on yesterday, Anna Karenina and The Winter Ghosts :) They are fun, interesting and the latter so far quite healing.

What do you think of the books? :)

Todays Makeup

Todays makeup consists of some of my favorite makeup gems. Through this month I've loved wearing my Estée Lauder EE cream. The sheer light is perfect. And the finish and coverage is gorgeous. My concealer choice is Maybelline Fit Me shade 15.  It is a lovely color and the finish is good. For rouge I'm wearing Isadora Perfect Peach which was a favorite this summer. It's bold and a little subtle. I'm skipping eyeshadow and instead use my Soap & Glory solar powder. The lightest shade. I think highlighters are a little tricky, never knowing how much to add where it looks best. This one has such a subtle shimmer easy to build up. It's kind of white with beige, silver and gold. Lots of shimmer :) Though it doesn't matter I love the box! The design is enough to pick it up. For lips I've went with Maybelline Color Drama in shade Minimalist. A gorgeous subtle pink.

I mentioned most products above. Highlighter is : Poudre de Riz de Java Bourjois. The gorgeous round box :)

Autumn Read

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
Arthur Conan Doyle

I'm reading classics this autumn. More precisely crime stories. When I visited The Sherlock Holmes museum in London I had to pick up a book. The place was filled with all kinds of things and details. And the colourful red books (picture above). This contains seven stories. It is fun and interesting to read. Stories are so strange I can't get bored reading them. The characters are well described without giving to much or little information. The focus is put on the main character Sherlock Holmes a detective solving mysteries. Sherlock Holmes is accompanied by a personal friend Dr. Watson. How many times he appears I'm not sure. They work well together complementing their difference in personality. I sometimes feel attention could be more drawn at a situation, expecting more emotional descriptions of characters. I think the friendship between Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson is a highlight. So is the atmosphere. I love how well written it is.

Stories here:

A Scandal in Bohemia

The Red- Headed League

The Five Orange Pips

The Blue Carbuncle

The Speckled Band

The Beryl Coronet

The Hound of The Baskervilles

Have you read Sherlock Holmes stories? :)

A Highlight Gem

Estée Lauder Enlighten EE cream

Looking for something new to add to my makeup I came across this. I decided to give it a try since I already loved my Double Wear foundation. It is really a beautiful packaging and the content is prettier. It's meant to even skin tone. I went for the lightest shade and I've already fallen in love with it. It works really well as highlighter and looks lovely on its own. I've only been wearing this a little. As a light, full coverage foundation, mainly though as highlighter over foundations and this is where I prefer it the most. It blends easy on skin and creates a lovely light! I've tried highlighting with powders and found some good and others less great. If I've added a lot of makeup this still creates a gorgeous highlight close to a no makeup look. If you are looking for some new makeup I would recommend this gem :)

Makeup on a Rainy Day

Every time I've looked out the window the rain has poured down. Finally the sun has come. For days like these and days when the sun does not come I like the subtle glow.

My favourite product is the foundation. The Estée Lauder Double Wear. Two new gems here are the  lip product and blush. I've added a different sun powder. This looks especially gorgeous in rainy, cloudy weather. This one is from the Body Shop in shade 03, medium matte. The other products:
Maybelline Fit Me concealer 15. YSL Heart of Light blush. Isadora 09 Amethystic eyeshadow. Kicks  Color Stick Sweet As Candy. Loreal Super Liner shade Brunette eyebrow color.

What products do you like on days like these? :)
