The Castle by Franz Kafka is one of my nicest reading experiences. I found it recommended in a blog post. And I instantly bought it. After finishing it I thought what's not to like. A corner in the living room is decorated with books and my eyes always get's drawn to this one. As one who like to write I thought it would be a must to reread books. I'm starting with this one. It's a couple years now since I read it.
The story is about:
The main character K. A surveyor. He travels alone to a new place for work. But finds it hard to get contact with the right people. Even when they are so close. And the castle where he needs to be is so close. The situation becomes nightmarish. The place and people there seems strange. Only concerned about their own things and found of irritating K. A stranger.
I found this book quite interesting. What do you think?
