19 Short Stories Seeming Like Dreams!

Draumeskrivar (Dream Writer) by Gunnhild Øyehaug

In this book every short story is made to sound like a dream. They have many details and feel so authentic that I felt sleepy while reading. In a good way. The short stories were interesting, strange and fun. Things were sometimes changing in a way that made me nod my head and think typical. The things happening were not as I remember spectacular. But that was not something I missed anyway! The one I remember best was about a speach during a celebration and all the speaker said were stuff about life being boring. That was one of the fun ones :) Others were for instance about someone desperately trying to remove nail polish or a comparison between two women.

I wished this book had more short stories! I really enjoyed to read it! And I will certainly read it again! Have you read or will read this book?

  2. Interesting post Karoline, this book sounds unique! Have you ever seen the film The Science of Sleep? It sounds similar to the way you were describing the book. TSOS is an unusual art house film – look it up if you have time. Glad you enjoyed the book mentioned, getting lost in a novel is one of my favourite things to do! Thanks for stopping by my blog before, hope you are doing well. :-) xx
