New Makeup: Spring Colors

It's nice to see spring colors in the shops. I picked up two new beauty products from Max Factor. A brand I think I will come to love. I found a beautiful sea green, sparkling eye shadow and an orange lip gloss. They both look stunning. I once owned an eyeshadow like this from the brand in the same color. The main difference is the texture and intensity of color. It's the only green color that works for me.

My first impression of these products are good. I like the fact that the eyeshadow is easy build able in color and if applied just some, it looks white and silver like with the sea green beautiful color. The lip gloss has a lot of color that compliments the eyeshadow.

I came across a wonderful striped top and some lovely, brown shoes that will look good with the new makeup. And then, a winter scarf.

Art on the Sky

There was a painted like sky outside my window just now. I've seldom come across this color combination. Usually I have seen an endless layer of light pink clouds in beautiful late day light. I've so far never managed to capture these moments.

They are rare to catch, but wonderful to observe, hopefully made eternal by photo. Have you taken perfect sky photos in late daylight ? :)

Happy Mother's Day!

Writing

I've loved to write fiction all my life.  It has had a special place in my life. I've been enjoying reading those books. It is something special about creating a world of its own. This hobby is something I always can come back to and find that I still have just as much talent as when I stopped writing. Lately I've been working on a long story and it has been magical. It requires some work, but I still disappear into the landscape I am creating.

Back to notebooks that I've posted about earlier. I visited the Opera House and found this new stationery. The notebook is my favorite. But the other pieces are stunning too. This have really good quality and a lovely design.

Petit Blushers

I love the size of the blushers. Not only do they have a stunning color and finish but they look cute and are practical too. One of them is a cream blush. I've never tried those, but I ended up quite happy with this one from Max Factor. It feels very comfortable, the texture is easy to work with and easy to build up.The one to the right is my newest purchase. It comes with a brush and a small mirror. And third. The orange, elegant from The Body Shop has a matte and pearly look. It does't come with a brush or mirror but it is still very fitting in a beauty kit with a brush. I like the synthetic ones. It is easy to brush off the color and just switch rouge using the same brush.

Guessing This Years Favorites

Two repurchases of my favorite facial skin care products will probably be my favorites this year. Something new is the Max Factor cream blush. I love the red color and finish. It looks perfect.Sparkle my night nail polish from H & M looks cute, elegant and cool. Therefor I think it will end up as one of my favorites this year. I've boasted about the solar powder from Soap & Glory. It has a wonderful matte shimmer and color which I love.

Four lip colors are in my selection. One from Gosh, Isadora, Kicks and Lush. Most of them in pink.

What do you think your favorites will be?

Reading Now

Agatha Christie
Destination Unknown

"In Christie’s gripping international thriller Destination Unknown, a woman at the end of her rope chooses a more exciting way to die when she embarks upon an almost certain suicide mission to find a missing scientist."

Since Christmas I've been reading Agatha Christie books. I've come to my fourth. They are interesting to read, this one is slightly annoying since there's little introduction about the main character. She travels through countries, meets interesting people and gradually approaches her destination. Things are most exciting after she has arrived. I like the descriptions of the other characters, the places she is staying and the mystery. Agatha writes interesting and detailed. Also the part when she is closest to the destination is really exciting. Agatha is good at creating atmosphere. The gradually transition from one to another. The intensity level has a gradually upbuilding after some time. It is easy to read, easy to imagine the description of people, places. I like that very much. And as I said, the mystery :)

Will you be reading this book?
