Seeking Inspiration

I've found a lot of blogs. Photography, travel, design. There is much inspiration for me reading these. And my other favorite. Beauty blogs. When I find beautiful photos I'm inspired in a short time. I sit down and write ideas for blog posts and photos. My day feels more complete when I've done this and gone for a walk. I love walking. Also I'm very much into reading books. I got a new spark for it around Christmas and have been reading since.

This photo above is not my most excellent. But after a second look I found that it was quite nice with a optimistic feel to it. This it the type of weather I hate to photograph in, but photos can turn out quite nice. And I will bring my camera out more often like I did before.

February Favorite Photo

I love the colors in this image. They're some of the nicest I know. I'm glad I came across these nail polishes. I like the lightening and composition in the photo. It turned out quite different from many others I've taken, looking more fun and esthetically nice.  

For such a long time we've had grey weather which is not beneficial for indoor photography, but this day the daylight was beautiful!

New Beauty Products

I just bought this lovely rouge and lipstick. I like the color and texture of the rouge. It can be worn everyday and for parties.The lipstick is quite nice too. It stays on for hours. This color would look stunning with a black outfit. It's a bold pink with an elegant finish. Both of the products comes in a practical size and simple, elegant design. I have one more product from this brand. An orange lipstick which looks stunning. I'm curious to try more products from Kicks. Especially the rouges.

Spring Nails

Pastel peach and pastel green. I love these colors. I've been wearing the Essie Back in the Limo nail polish the last couple of days. It is the prettiest soft peach I've ever seen. I really like this green color too. It's not so elegant, but quite stylish. For now, the peach nail polish is my favorite. It's versatile with outfits. If I would have one more I would choose a bold sweet pink.

Something Spring

What I've Done This Weekend

I've enjoyed reading in a new book. A collection of stories, Mainly crime stories by Agatha Christie. They are quite good and some are boring. Today, Sunday I enjoyed a concert at the Opera house. 60 minutes with piano and violin music in a beautiful atmosphere. The music was wonderful. It's been a long time since I really listened to classical music, and a long time since I've attended a concert. I ordered a glass of wine in the cafe after the concert and went to the shop.

On Saturday I went for a walk. It was cold and grey outside but refreshing. Then I watched an episode of Poirot on my computer and just relaxed. I've done some blogging and taken pictures during the weekend. On Friday I got some gorgeous colorful photos like one here shown below and photos shown in a recent blog post. I hope you like them!

Spring Makeup

It's still winter and I'm pondering about spring wardrobe. For some time I've spent money on cosmetics and I've found some gemstones. For spring, a lovely mint green and pastel colored nail polish in peach. They are gorgeous :)  I picked up this sea green eyeshadow and orange lip gloss too. I love the colors.

Something else colorful. I picked up this rouge a while ago. The creamy formula is wonderful and gives a beautiful finish on the skin. I absolutely love the color.

Winter in Botanical Garden

A beautiful place for recreation. I've been here a lot, usually bringing my camera. This weather is the worst for photography, but still you can get nice pictures. This winter I've actually felt okay about the weather season. But I prefer lots of snow instead of lots of ice. Yesterday though, the ice made a cool layer over the grass at the first photo with the tree, which is my favorite one of these. I like the outdoor art. It looks to be made of great quality. I photographed these figures previous summer. Then I went to the botanical garden quite frequently. 

Reading This Month

During Christmas I read the first The Lord of the Rings book. I thought it was a really good book with so much atmosphere so now I'm reading the second. It's been really nice reading more of the story. For once, I love a huge, never-ending book. The movies are quite nice too. I see them every Christmas.
I remember not liking the second so much, but the book seems excellent so far.

 This month I'll stick to this book and maybe pick up Jane Eyre. It's been collecting dust with my other selection of books. It's a nice book and the cover is so elegant.

Since February is halfway I don't think I'll pick up more books. But I have not forgotten my love for Agatha Christie's books :) They are so wonderfully interesting and well written.

Makeup. Classic Brown

I've always liked brown toned eye makeup. I was lucky enough to come across one that suited me here the other day. I favor the matte, elegant, everyday look. This one is easy to apply and blend. And it looks almost natural, but with a hint of color. The highlighter is perfect. It looks very natural. There's one purple color. It looks beautiful on the edges of the eyes. It's quite dark, but easy build able.

Sunset

Cafe Day. Inspiration

I love colors. Especially these. The color on the lamps and the white at this time of daylight. And a cup of tea. I sat reading through newspapers which was really nice. I found a good tea. I think cafe visits are best during daylight time. Especially now because of the winter dark. Besides, the daylight really highlights a good interior of a place meant to be opened during these hours.  I also like cafes that are quiet. Many cafes have loud music and walls that echo all sounds. Do you prefer quiet cafes or one with the buzz?

The floor got decoration too :) In such a place, I don't need lots of books. Or a wide selection of food. I just order a cup of tea and take in the impressions.
