Best Beauty Find this Spring?

Youstar "Highlight Me"

Recently when I was in Kiel I did some shopping. I bought makeup. I wanted to buy makeup by brands I've not tried before. One of the products I bought was this highlighter. Two words that pop up in my mind when I want to describe it is: Gorgeous and interesting. I did not try it on first. But when I got home and then I knew this was the best find.

I think my best beauty find so far this spring is the highlighter. It is without color but does so much to my makeup. It feels and looks like silk.

The design is a treat too. It comes with a mirror inside and a tool for application. I will probably  prefer brushes for powder highlighters. This seems staple worthy. It is probably a product that will be in my beauty bag for a long time. One of those products I'll reach for when in doubt about what makeup to use.

What has been your favorite product so far this spring?

One I'll Wear Weekly

When someone asks me what my favorite color is I reply it's blue. It's a color that makes me relax. Sometimes I think it's an elegant color too. I instantly liked this sweather. I'm into stripes as well. Especially on sweathers. The fabric is so comfortable and lenght a bit longer then many sweathers. So I don't need to wear a long top under.

I guess I'll wear it on weekdays and weekends. And during my dance lessons when I feel a bit cold.

Have you found something nice lately? :)

Kiel Cruise

I've just had a wonderful little holiday. With two friends who joined me on a Kiel cruise from Oslo city. The cruise stopped in Kiel for some hours. In Kiel we went shopping and found a cozy cafe for  breakfast and lunch.

I found some beauty brands I've never tried before and bought some makeup. It was cloudy this day but not too cold outside. I would like a trip like this again sometime. It was fun and relaxing.

On the Reading List

"Murder Must Advertise" by Dorothy L. Sayers.

The title sounds interesting. I'll begin this book during my holiday. Which is soon. I got this book recommended on Goodreads.com. I've not heard about it before, but I have a good feeling I'll like it.

The story takes place in a creative enviroment. With a secret investigation of a suspicious death. I've liked fiction books where one of the characters are writers. So this book seems nice. Because here many are. They work for an advertising agency. And that is the place where a dead man is found.

What are you reading? Which books do you want to read this year?

Todays Makeup. Yellow and Orange

Lately I've been into yellow and orange in my makeup. I've never thought about using yellow before. The shimmery one in this palette is subtle and fresh for my skin tone so I can wear it with confidence. Mainly I've kept the makeup matte with the exception of the eyeshadow. Matte makeup is also something I like now. And will continue to wear.

Main products in my makeup: Revlon Ultra Hd Matte Lipcolor in shade Embrace, I Heart Revolution Now That's What I Call Makeup 90s eyeshadow palette and L´oreal Infallible 24H-Matte foundation in shade 10 Porcelain.

Dreamy Notebook

Of all notebooks I've owned this is most salient. The color combination is intense.
The design dreamy and cool. The notebook cover is soft. I really like that! It feels a bit luxurious. I would buy more notebooks like this. I found it in a TGR shop in Oslo not long ago. They had other notebooks too with soft cover. This one is lined.

Read Lately. In a Dark, Dark Wood(2015) by Ruth Ware

I found a good crime book last month and read it in a week. The story and atmosphere were interesting. I would recommend it to everyone interesting in the genre. "In a Dark, Dark Wood"(2015) is written by Ruth Ware.

Leonora(Nora) is invited to a gathering for her old friend (Clare). Leonora  has not seen Clare in 10 years. She is told that her friend is going to get married. However she is not invited to the wedding and that makes her nervous. The gathering becomes a nightmare. The people there act a bit strange. It's like several thinks: I'm not here to get friends! Leonora gets a memory loss after something terrible happens. She ends up in hospital, then runs away to puzzle pieces of  what happened during that time together.

The atmosphere is electrical. The characters and their knowledge of each other well described. And their curiousity for each other well shown. And a secret is revealed.

It was difficult to put down this book! That group of people together was interesting to read about. The language was vibrant. There were interesting details. Some for instance that shows Leonoras strenght. I liked that the main character is such a determined person. And that she is an author. She is definitely observant. Already on the first page one can tell she is a determined person. When she is running in that wood desperate for help.

Something else I liked was that the mystery was solved fast. With that electrical atmosphere that was a good thing. I wished the book was longer! This was a very nice reading experience.

What do you think about this book?
