Autumn Photos

When I have my next holiday I want to photograph. These ones I've taken this autumn. I seldom take pictures if it is not for a blog post. I have more time to do this soon. I hope the weather will not be too bad. I want to be outdoors doing this activity.

Reading Now. The Woman in Cabin 10

A book I've been reading lately is "The Woman in Cabin 10" (2016) by Ruth Ware. It is a fiction story. I've just began reading part six of eight. Now things seem to be happening!

 The main charater is a journalist who is on a cruise ship with a group of other journalists. On board one night something scares her. There was a sound of something that could have been a body thrown overboard. And she is certain that she has seen blood.

 She feels her story is not taken seriously when she share it. But then get some help. From an earlier boyfriend who's there. He also makes things complicated.

From cabin 10 where she believes the aweful thing happened she has a memory of a blonde woman staying. But no one has knowledge about this woman beeing there. In fact she's told that cabin 10 is empty.

Someone leaves a warning to the journalist. And the journalist goes missing.

I like that the main character is brave and alone. That the group of journalist in many ways act the same and she's an underdog and outsider. 

I like this book but feel the story developement has been slow. I am more interested in the story now.

Yesterdays Makeup

Yesterday I had a closer look at a palette I bought from Makeup Mekkas new makeup. This blush palette has four strongly pigmented colors. I was in the mood for pink color. I like it. It reminds me of one I already have. And this is more intense.

The rest of my makeup consists mainly of favorite products I've had for some time. I use the cc cream, concealer and highlighter a lot! Then I've been using the gloss recently. The eyebrow color is one of the newest finds. It is more intense then my last one. In a good way. I like better a stronger defined eyebrow color now to frame the rest of my makeup.

Reading Now

Everything's Eventual (2002) is a short story collection written by Stephen King. It contains 14 short stories. I've read several of them and thought they were atmospheric. They are detailed with a slow development of the story. Since they were so atmospheric I liked the slow developement of the stories.

Interesting they were with endings easy to grasp. I like reading them in the evening. Because of the atmosphere. And at that time everything is usually quiet around me.

Getting to know many of the main characters thoughts and emotions is something I like and I got plenty here. The reading has never been boring. 

The book cover is so cool. I really like the color combination! Just like the stories it is atmospheric. 

Stephen King's stories sure are creative. I look forward to read more of his books. I should find some for my next holiday already. 

3 Hourglasses

Cute,little things like these three hourglasses caught my attention yesterday. I like hourglasses. Small and big ones just as much. These are the smallest ones I've spotted. There were four or more sand colors. I picked white, black and orange.

 Sometimes I feel little decor pieces are just as atmospheric as bigger ones. Like for instance a mirror on the wall. Or a range of displayed books. I guess I will buy more hourglasses when they look so pretty.

August Face Mask

 Sanctuary Spa 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask

For August month I picked this clay face mask to focus on. I'm gladly using it up. 

Things I like about it: How my skin looks afterwards. It somehow looks matte and glowy at the same time. A thin matte layer on top and glowy beneath. My skin looks smoother. I like that the clay is easy to remove and five mintues use is quick. Also there is no noticeable scent.
